50+ Black Wedding Vendors who Service Greater Boston
Boston and the rest of the country have seen an outpour of support for the Black Lives Matter movement in the form of protests, vigils and marches that condemn the murder of George Floyd and police brutality. As demonstrations continue, many are showing their support by putting their dollars behind Black-owned businesses.
In addition to the global reckoning for racial justice, we are all in a war against COVID-19 which has left many businesses around the world in despair. The wedding industry was hit particularly hard due to the Stay at Home orders prohibiting social gatherings of more than ten people.
Making matters worse yet, the Black community has been disproportionately afflicted by COVID-19, leaving them more vulnerable to subsequent health concerns and ensuing economic losses.
But now is a time in history when we have been given the opportunity to make a tremendous impact. Though it is imperative that we support the Black community societally and economically year-round, we are now in the midst of a powerful moment when our dollars mean more than ever before. Now is the time to lift up Black voices and Black businesses.
